What happens after we file your UGE application?
Follow updates in your private Spain Visa Submit account and email. We check the government system using our representative access. Receiving your documents and filing them with UGE are separate steps. After successful filing, we provide the official receipt once UGE issues it. The receipt proves filing, not approval.

Spain Visa Submit is a technical submission service, not a law firm. This guide is not legal advice and does not assess eligibility or document correctness.
Documents received does not mean filed
An upload confirmation means Spain Visa Submit has received your files. It does not mean that your application has reached UGE, the Spanish authority handling it. A service email or a Stripe payment receipt is not official proof of government filing.
Keep the official filing receipt
After successful filing, we provide the official UGE receipt in your private account, with the registration number and filing date and time once UGE generates them. The expediente number is the government case number. It may be assigned later and is different from the registration number. Keep the receipt. It confirms filing, not a decision on your application.
Follow your account and email
You do not need your own digital certificate or access to the government portal. We use our representative access to check the government system and forward notices and updates through your private account and email after checking. Read any official notice we forward, including its instructions.
If UGE asks for more documents
A requerimiento is an official request to correct or add information or documents. Read the notice and its instructions. Get help from a qualified immigration professional to interpret legal requirements or draft a response. The filing service does not include legal advice, document review or drafting these responses.
Frequently asked questions
Does “documents received” mean my application has been filed?
No. It means your files reached Spain Visa Submit. The official UGE filing receipt is the proof that the application was filed.
Does the filing receipt mean my application is approved?
No. It confirms filing. UGE makes a separate decision on the application.
How can I follow my application?
Use your private Spain Visa Submit account and service emails. We check the government system as your authorized representative and forward notices and updates after checking.
Why do I not have an expediente number yet?
UGE may assign the expediente, or government case number, later. It is different from the registration number on the official filing receipt. We share it when it becomes available to us.
